Moscow and Siberia. 6x7 medium format film photography.
The opening image of ornate gates hints at entering another world, highlighting my position as an outsider—a foreign photographic observer in a foreign land. As the series progresses, I lean into that disorientation, weaving a narrative of humor, strangeness, and commonality, inviting viewers into a layered, mythical story of my encounters. It is a visual fairytale—shaped by a story that can only be born of Russia, yet exists beyond it—blending subjectivity and objectivity into a world where perception transforms into something both personal and universal, true and not true.
